Frosty the Snowman...

After having recieved some lovely lush products for Christmas, and knowing that everyone loves snow, I decided to do a quick post on 'The Melting Snowman'. A good old soak in the bath is enough to put anyone in a good mood, but with the additional snowman...phew!

Just drop your little snowball of cuteness into a warm tub and watch it come to life in the form of fizzy bubbles. Decorated witth a jelly fruit nose and chocolate drop eyes, this gorgeous bath fizzer will be great for this frosty time of year.

Sweetly scented of almond and vanilla, this brings back sweet-filled memories of childhood Christmas's from the past. A great product to reminisce and awaken too!

Watch the bubbles form as your man melts. A great way to relieve any stress from the day, or even to kick start your busy morning.

Have a happy day! Milly xoxo

What's in my hair travel bag?

Hey dolls :)
Today, I watched a youtube gurus' 'Whats in my travel bag' tag. I always watch these sorts of tags on youtube videos, but have never actually seen a blog post on them. So, today I decided to break the ice and go for it- blog style!! I decided to do my hair products' travel bag as I tend to keep the majority of them in the bag anyway, so thought it would be easiest. Enjoy!

The first thing I like to keep in my travel bag is a good shampoo and conditioner. My favourite being the Charles Worthington brilliant shine salon results shampoo and matching conditioner. These just leave my hair feeling fresh and looking healthy. Or, if you're going away somewhere without a shower, dry shampoo is always a great idea!

I love the scent of TRESemme products- especially the Thermal and Protect creations. Anything that smells even the slightest like a hairdresser wins me over! I have a normal sized Iron style and hold spray, and a mini Heat defence spray, to keep my locks luscious when on vacation!

Another product I love to have with me in my travel bag is the Charles Worthington SHINE salon finish polish. Just a few small pumps of this serum, and your hair shall be fit for summers in the sun!

Toni&Guys' texture paste is a great help to me in the morning- allowing my hair to gain a bit more bounce than usual, this product is a life saver on holiday!

Apart from these lovely products, I like to keep a pair of curlers and some straighteners too, just in case!

Stockings and Surprises!

Hey dolls :)
So I contemplated for a while on whether to do this post or not; would anyone really be interested in what I recieved that very Christmas morning? But, after reading a few blog posts and youtube beauty guru videos, I decided to just jump straight into it...

So, first things first; my camera. I needed one as I'd spent way too long stealing my mothers! It's a gorgeous Olympus SZ-10, with a crazy 18x zoom and the 14 MP ensure a crystal clear picture.

I've always been a bit of a jewellery junkie, and my favourite piece of jewellery I recieved this Christmas was this gorgeous owl ring. Its stunning brunette detailing is perfect for this time of year.

Tatty Devine's 'How to make jewllery' book was truly divine to find in my stocking ;D Guiding you through how to make simple rings to intricate charm bracelets, this book is great for that shabby-chic jewellery fanatic!

I love to recieve books as gifts, as they're not something I tend to buy for myself. Unwrapping a good ol' novel on Christmas morning is sure to put a smile on my face. This year was Jane Austens' Pride and Prejudice; better get the dictionary out!!

The kintect for Xbox was exciting to open with the family- straight onto Dance Central, with everyone prancing around to Nelly Furtado's Maneater!

Along with lots of other nice things such as the Oceans Eleven triology boxset on DVD, Now 80 CD, Starbucks goodies and miscellaneous bedroom items; I had an amazing Christmas, and I hope that you all did too!

Seasons Greetings, Milly xoxo

Tatty Devine Inspired...

I love jewellery, and after having recieved the 'How to make jewellery with Tatty Devine' book for Christmas, I have been inspired to create my own. Tatty Devine's founders, Harriet and Rosie guide you through their expertise in jewellery making, and introduce you to unique and creative accessory designs.
After having read the book many times over, whilst excitedly prancing around the christmas tree (of course), I have encouraged myself to search endlessly for jewellery inspiration. So, when I saw this cutie in my christmas cracker, I just had to think of a way to incorporate it into the accessory world...

So what are we thinking? a necklace? a brooch?

Another great idea for jewellery is crisp packet shrinking. Yes, you heard me correctly; crisp packet shrinking. What has this world come to, eh?! Harriet and Rosie explain how exactly to shrink your crisp packets into small, quirky accessories. And of course, being the creative ninja I am, decided to have a go myself...

So get your creative juices flowing, and get making!! Milly xoxo

O.O.T.D. Jingle Bells...

'Snow is falling, all around me, children playing, having fun...'
I know it's winter (and believe me, its frosty outside)- so for any mere mortals out there who disagree with the whole concept of clashing seasonal clothing with the weather, brace yourselves for my Christmas Day outfit...

I decided to keep the make-up pretty natural as the outfit seems to be show-stopping itself; catching curious gazes from wanderers by (trust me- they were of pure shock rather than admiration!). Wearing just a hint of foundation, a winged-eye and bubble-gum pink lips, I was ready to rock around the Christmas tree!

Have a very merry evening!! Milly xoxo

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Well it's here; the day we have all been anticipating has finally arrived! Did anyone get coal in their stocking? Or was it all candy-canes and lush products?!
Just a quick post to say happy christmas before the fam arrive...
Hope you're all having a wonderful and safe holiday, and aren't indulging  too much in that sneaky box of celebrations under the tree ;D

How to... Christmas Crackers

Hey dolls :)
Today, seeing as it is Christmas Eve, I felt like doing a festive 'make' for you all.
This time of year is perfect for Christmas crackers and being a personal sucker for them around the dinner table myself, I have decided that it is only right that I show you how to make your own quirky crackers...

What you will need...

  • Clean toilet tubes
  • Wrapping paper
  • Sticky-tape
  • Scissors
  • Pretty ribbon or string- get creative!
  • Sweets/ Chocolates
  • Paper
  • Coloured pens
  • Labels
  1. Firstly, Roll your toilet tube up in wrapping paper and stick in place. It will look like a long tube/ poster.
  2. Twist one end and tie with ribbon/ string. You can colour co-ordinate the ribbon with the person if you wish- Just make sure it looks attractive!
  3. Write down festive jokes or unusual facts onto the paper using coloured pens, cut them out and put into tube.
  4. Snack-sized sweets such as Heroes or Celebrations work great in these cute crackers!
  5. Once you have filled up your cracker, twist the open end and tie again, with ribbon.
  6. Create labels for your friends so that they know which cracker is theirs.
  7. Voila! Your perfect Christmas cracker. Pull around the table for festive, family fun!

Happy Making! Milly xoxo

You are the pen, the world is your page

I've always loved writing; ever since I was just a young seedling in this crazy worlds' branches, I have always enjoyed to write. Whether it be poetry, novels, letters, or even just keeping a diary would keep me happy. And of course, to write, you need two things- a pen and paper. I love notebooks too; I have a large collection which is expanding with my day-to-day life. Don't worry, there is a reason behind this post. I'm not just rambling on about paper for no reason. Today, I'm going to share with you a few vintage-inspired notebooks. I thought long and hard about this post. Should I do it? Would anyone be interested? Until I can to the conclusion that somewhere on this Earth, there is bound to be someone like me. A slightly OCD nerd, who adores to read and write, and shares my obsession with vintage notebooks.
So, if that someone is you, I advise you to keep reading...

Moleskine Notebooks in Pink- £13.50 each

Treat everyday to a fresh new page with these bright and fun notebooks. Available in soft and hard backs (I personally recommend the soft backs- easier to transport etc.) these beautifully made jotters are perfect for that on-the-go scribbler.
These notebooks are great for quick notes and doodles, as well as page-to-page filled stories.

Cath Kidston Notebook in Bird Print- £8.00

This cute and quirky hardback notebook is perfect for that shabby-chic author. With lined white paper, and a vintage touch, this notebook is a personal favourite. At a reasonable price, it would make a great birthday gift. Suitable to jot down anything from shopping lists to adresses, this book is an all-round great product!

Notonthehighstreet.com Hello Beautiful Book- £18.00

Slightly pricier, but a stunning notebook, perfect for doodling or jotting down inspiring quotes. This beautifully hand-made notebook is gorgeous in everyway, allowing the owner to whip it out proudly in times of need (a.k.a. when you spot that celeb you fancy down the road...'no autographs please!'). Great for those kitsch loving cuties in need of a pretty notebook.

So that concurs my little notebook recommendation post, I hope that this has helped anyone out there of whom is looking for a pretty notebook to scribble in...

Diva @ Miss Selfridge

Hey dolls :)
So today I was shopping in Kingston for some extra Christmas gifts, when  I came across these cute little earrings at Diva for Miss Selfridge...

I've always had a thing for mis-matching earrings, so when I saw these for a crazy price of £2.50, I had to grab the chance I was given! Luckily I have a double piercing, so I can wear all 4 of the earrings at once.  I still feel a little guilty having bought them around Christmas time, but no worries- I have sucessfully purchased all my Christmas gifts!! Have a great few days, Milly xoxo

Style Inspo 03

I have always been intrigued by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and having watched them whilst growing up, I have realised how they've been gradually getting involved with many fashion weeks over the world. I know its awful, but yes I do have a favourite Olsen; Mary-Kate. I think she's a little more fashion forward, and dare I say it - prettier?! I realise that this makes me sound super snobbish etc, but I can't help it- I'm a girl, we judge ;D

I am totally hooked on the girls' style- they can rock casual and party chic! Having said that I do prefer Mary-Kate; Ashley does look rather stunning in this waistcoat, and her hair is messy yet gorgeous (left)!!

Mary-Kates' rocking messy plaits, and a black sweater- perfect for these winter days.

As the girls have grown up since the days of 'Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action', I have spotted them regularly on the Front Row of catwalks;

 Have a stylish week!

A pie or two...

Hey dolls :)
I love little nick-nacks, especially if they combine food with jewellery; so when I found these gorgeous, pie earrings, I instantly fell for them. Embellished with cream and a miniature strawberry, these small and quirky pieces were a perfect match for me! Found in a little sweet shop on the small town of Matlock Bath, these sweet treats were at the mere price of £3, leaving my purse barely touched.

These would make a perfect Christmas gift for any sweet loving girl on the hunt for anything cute!

Hey dolls :)
So I'm back home a day early, due to the brother developing a 'I'm so excited, yet I miss home'-illness, so unfortunately we missed out on a few shopping opportunities; although apart from that, I am rather glad to be back at home in my little vintage bedroom! Despite the whole leaving early situation, I still managed to purchase some of my friends' Christmas gifts, and also bagged myself some uber cute earrings...

Pie earrings- who would've thought?!

Just my little evening fashion fix xD

River Island, £15 - if anyone wanted to know
Quick Costa on the way home!

Happy holidays everyone!! Milly xoxo

Vintage Beauty...

Hey dolls :)
So as some of you may know, I am completely and utterly obsessed with anything vintage or antique looking. This can range from jewellery to home decor. So when I got home today to find a gorgeous, vintage-inspired, pink sugar bowl I was ecstatic! Yes, my lovely mummy had bought it for me to store miscellaneous items on my dresser. It's stunning, peach coloured detailing is beautifully handcrafted and the floral design reflects my personality perfectly...

Have a fab evening! Milly xoxo

Festive Christmas Cupcakes!!

Hey dolls :)
So I was snuggled on my sofa, watching the latest Pretty Little Liars, when a sudden thought struck me; its the last day at school tomorrow and I have no crap food to take in!! So, with that crazy image, I rushed into my kitchen and threw together some ingredients. Luckily, I had enough of what I needed to bake some beautiful *snigger* christmas cupcakes.

Using heart shaped cases as well as normal ones, a drop of red food colouring, and a fair bit of baking powder, I managed to create some jolly, pink cakes to munch on...

Unfortunately, as my family isn't really one to buy green food colouring, I couldn't make the traditional festive coloured icing for my cakes - sad face, I know. Instead I stuck to Betty Crockers' trusty chocolate butter icing, and white chocolate stars. Very festive!
Enjoy...

Tweet Treats...

Hey dolls :)
So just recently, I have become obsessed with baking- brownies, cookies, gingerbread, cupcakes; you name it, I bake it. I was searching online for some cute bakes to hopefully make this weekend, when I came across these beautifully hand-decorated biscuits; just take a look at these vintage-inspired beauties...

Found on http://sugarlilycookie.blogspot.com/ , these stunning biscuits are hand decorated with piped icing and glitter topped birds. Adorable, no?! These sweet treats are perfect for a vintage party or even just for tea.
I may have to give these bakes a go, and post 'em up in the near future (if successful that is...)! Let me know if you try them out for yourselves!

Cranberry Joy

Hey dolls :)
So it was pretty much the last day of classes today, which can only mean one thing... Mr M's bodyshop lipbalms!!; Every year around the festive season, my lovely form tutor (Mr. Mannel) gives each and every one of us a Bodyshop lipbalm. This has been a tradition for around 3 years now, bless him. This year was the beautifully scented 'Cranberry Joy' which quite honestly, is currently the best smelling thing I own...

The past few years at my High school have flown by incredibly, leaving this as the last Christmas term that I will spend with my school friends and Mr. M. I dread to think what I'll be like when this year is up- brace yourselves for floods of tears!!

Hope everyone is having a fun and festive few days at work/ school/ the joys of unemployment, and that you're as excited as me for this festive season!!

Pretty Clutter

Hey dolls :)
So I was cleaning my room today, when I realised how much I love 'Pretty Clutter'. I'm a hoarder you see- I love to collect cute, vintage things to decorate my vanity. Typical girl, I know...

Have a beautiful week ;D Milly xoxo
