INFJ's Defined

Hey dolls :)
After having taken the humanmetrics personality test ( http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp ) I learnt some un-noticed but definitely familiar facts about my "personality". For those who know me, would probably agree on my physiological mind; I love solving people's personalities and horoscopes, and finding out about the human nature. So, all round, personality tests are perfect for me!
So, after answering 70 odd questions about my personal actions and beliefs, I discovered my 'INFJ' psyche. Standing for Introvertive iNtuitive Feeling Judging, I realised traits about myself I had never closelty thought about.
Introvertive- I enjoy being by myself, and spent the majority of the time gaining energy from being alone; I am considered pretty independent. This, I believe is very true- I love spending time in my room blogging, etc. and although I love to shop and hang out with my small clique, I would much prefer to sit at home with a book than out at a party. (sad, but true).
Intuitive- I am trust worthy of hunches and theories, and although I like to analyse, I stick to what is told and not explained. Again, this is spot on; I am pretty gullable, and so tend to trust easily, which is sometimes not a good thing...
Feeling- I rely a lot on my feelings and emotions to put a point across, meaning that I don't hesitate when telling how I feel. I believe that everyone has a right to express their feelings, whether through a fiery arguement or an emotional sob.
Judging- I see the world in a very black and white prospective; Something is either terrible or amazing. I am pretty honest when it comes to people, and sometimes (brutally) will tell what I think. However, I am wary of hurting other's feelings, and so don't always speak the truth.

Other characteristics of the INFJ personality is our integrity; I believe that being true to yourself is what matters the most. If no-one else likes your recent haircut, who cares? Just so long as you're happy in yourself.
I strongly agree with the 'cold on the outside, warm on the inside' theory; I personally admit that I am pretty hard to approach, I like to put up a quite front and keep only those I truly love near. I do this totally unintentionally, but I don;t think I would try to change that about me; I'm happy in my own self.

So, I know I rambled a little in this post, but as I mentioned before- I love this kind of 'unveling' if you will, of my personality. I love to dig deep and find out things I never realised about myself. Not in a vain way by any means, I just find this sort of thing really interseting.
If you take the test, comment below with your results!

Weekend Wishlist 4

This weekend's wishlist seems a little on the 'nude' side...

Topshop's makeup has been a huge hit since their launch last year, and I would love to try out some pieces. Their eyeshadow in leather, and lipstick in coy, along with their black mascara are top of my lust list this week.
H&M are known for their elegant blazers, and this cream, horse-rider style just screams 'take me home!'
After a competition on llymlrs.com's blog, I suddenly became intrigued with boohoo's shoe range. The Alexa Wedge Shoe Boots in tan brown are stunning, and paired with cream socks and jeans, would be the perfect casual spring outfit.
These ditsy, pink religious bracelets have been rocked by most people on the high street- spotting them on loads of bloggers, I've been desperate to get my hands on one!
Lastly, and definitely most expensively, is this gorgeous Prada handbag. The sleek design is great for the spring season.

What's on your weekend wishlist?

Friday Favourites

Hey dolls :)
So it's finally here; Friday night fun is at it's peak tonight!
How has your week been? I've been kind of slacking in the work department- coming to the end of many coursework deadlines and cramming revision into my brain without it spilling from my ears, really does take it out of you.
So, after a quick debate of what to post, I decided to fall back on the trusty 'Friday Favourites'.
This week I've been loving...

Cute quotes and inspirational messages

I have been totally hooked on 90210 season 2/3 this past week or so. I love Ivy's strong personality, and Silver always looks totally stunning! (And Liam isn't too bad to look at either...;D)

Last, but certainly not least; seeing as LFW has been the main focus of twitter life these past few days, I've been loving Louis Vuitton tote bags- boy would I love to get my paws on one of these...

Marc Jacobs A/W 2012

Bryanboy.com
Marc Jacob's winter wonderland wowed the audience with grey coats and crazy headgear. Focusing on overwhelming fur hats, and stunning chiffon dresses, this show was indeed one not to miss!
With lace making multiple appearances, we can predict sophistication and glamour this Autumn/Winter.
Aubergine fur makes an outstanding entrance, paired with black, conotes a high-end fairytale look for the colder season.

With FROW guests such as Anna Wintour and Dakota Fanning, no doubt was Marc Jacobs' show jam-packed with A-list celebrities and kings and queens of the fashion industry.

What was your favourite part of the show?

Del Rey Debut!

Today, at LFW, Mulberry were extremely proud to announce their brand new bag, the 'Del Rey' (for those of you living under fashion-free rocks, it was named after the fabulous American singer, Lana Del Rey).

The gorgeous leather, somewhat briefcase style accessory will be released in May, ready for the Autumn/Winter season.
However, it was spotted this morning, Front Row on Lana Del Rey herself's arm...

Available in an autumn hue of colours, Del Rey toted a white ostrich version at Mulberry's show.
Rumoured also to be singing at this evening's after dinner party- rocking a bespoke gown from the collection.

Mulberry presented autumn shades this morning, think tobacco is the new tan, and you've hit the jackpot!

What do you think of the 'Del Rey'?

Tender

Tender is very much a Persian Goddess colour- with a hint of gold, this peachy keen shade is great for the upcoming (as I keep referring to...) Spring and Summer seasons. The pigmentation is a little light, but leaves a stunning, sheer shimmer to the eyelid.
The shadow lasts almost all day with a good primer (I recommend No7's colour calming primer to help improve sallow complexion), and creates a gorgeous summer glow.
Perfect for those summer days at Brighton pier.

What's your favourite No7 Stay Perfect eyeshadow shade?

Weekend Wishlist 3

I have always adored Michael Kors jewellery, and their range of rose gold watches have had me at a stun ever since they came out- this jewel decored one is top of my wishlist this weekend!
Okay, so I'll admit- I've never owned a Bobbi Brown product before, but this conceal palette, to me looks divine...
Vivienne Westwood's quirky, British style has always had me amused, and these logo-ed pumps are perfect for this upcoming season. Available in pale blue, pale pink and beige, these ballet flats are versatile in the sense of seasonal fashion and come-back style.
River Island has never enticed me very much, but after a recent browse on the online site, I spotted these gorgeous aubergine coloured skinnys, and alice-in-wonderland-esque clip wallet. Grey with gold detailing is great for all year round.
Last, but certainly not least; I've had my eye on one of these Ted Baker bags for a while now. Their elegance and dexterous style leaves me craving a bow encrusted version.

What's on your weekend wishlist??

Mary Katrantzou for Topshop

After realising that the free Mary Katrantzou canvas print bag only worked on NewGen products, I was heartbroken. I'd just placed an order on an item which was not NewGen, in hope of recieving a freebie bag. Boo-hoo to me.
However, I love the vibrant and exotic prints that Topshop and Mary have created, using bright florals and keeping summer boldness in mind.
My heart aches for the printed scarfs and floral leggings, however I will most probably not be purchasing any of the line, due to a student budget. Boo-hoo to me, once again.

The contrast of clashing florals will definately be one to look out for this Summer!

London Fashion Week

Hey dolls :)
So while the hustle and bustle of New York fashion week fades into London, I've been enjoying my FROW from at home.
Keeping up with the latest style goss and front row happenings through tumblr ( http://too-much-junk.tumblr.com/ ) and many various blogs, I have been creating my very own fashion week collage, filled with inspirational style statements and seasonal fashion...

What style statements are you looking forward to this London Fashion Week, and what celebrities are you looking out for on the FROW?

Friday Favourites

Hey dolls :)
So I'm back after what some may call a 'relaxed' week; coffee breaks and fashion week browsing aside, I'm ready to present to you my Friday Favourites!

Summer thoughts, and novels have been top of my mind this past week. Just thinking of the warm weather and beach water gets me excited.

Super jealous of the FROW panel, at London and New York Fashion Week...

I've been loving floral headbands this week, rocking one where ever I go. They're just so versatile!

Post Weekend Baking

Hey dolls :)
So this week has been jam packed with exam studies, coffee meet-ups and a little retail therapy; meaning not much time to just sit down and relax. Or bake, in my case.
Baking is something I thoroughly enjoy during my free time (well, after shopping of course!), and so after a quick trip to the supermarket, I decided to sink myself into the wonderful world of cookie dough and kitchen utensils.
Flicking through the recipe book sparks off my indecisive imagination, struggling through the dessert section, I immediately found my perfect bake; Triple Chocolate Cookies.
Simple yet classic, just like a Chanel 2.55- the true way to a women's heart (chocolate or handbags, I mean).

I followed a straight forward (if you don't count the trolley full of ingredients) recipe, taking what seemed like a life time of rushing around, cleaning spoons and hot-oven waves making my palms sweat, I came to a conclusion that eating a ladle full of triple chocolate cookie dough is not great when working towards the perfect beach body.

Preheat the oven to 180C, fan 160C, gas 4. Using an electric mixer, whisk together 150g unsalted butter, 100g light brown soft sugar, 75g caster sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whisk in 150g melted dark chocolate and 1 beaten egg. Beat 175g plain flour, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, a pinch of salt and 150g each of milk and white chocolate, in chunks. Spoon rounds onto 2 baking trays lined with baking parchment. Bake for 12 minutes.

...See, I told you there was a trolley full of ingredients!

What are your favourite sweet treats?

L'OREAL Elvive review

Hey dolls :)

After recently bleaching, the ends of my hair were beginning to damage. Split ends laden with dye is not the best look (or feel for that matter!).
In a bid to revitalise my hair, I purchased L'oreal Elvive's colour protect serum. Claiming to transform the look of dead hair, leaving a voluptuous feel and restored ends.
I couldn't wait to test it out.
After the first try I could spot a slight visual difference. The ends of my hair began to look much healthier and not as brittle.
After a few tries, my hair was still felt a little damaged, but it definitely made a difference.
I would recommend this product for anyone needing a colour boost or even just to restore dead ends.
Overall, I like this product, however not enough to re-purchase. Purely, because I would like to continue my hunt for the perfect end repairer.
