The Anatomy of a Prom Clutch

Hey dolls :)
With prom season nearing, I am excitedly hunting websites and shops for the perfect prom outfit. I have found a few ensembles in numerous high street shops such as Topshop and Oasis, but am keeping a wide eye open for any potential dresses or heels.
However, I am super excited to find the clutch, as I have come across many, although they all seem to be too small.
But, before you ask; what are the contents of a typical teen blogger's prom clutch?

One- Lipstick. For me this is a must. I love to wear a bold, colour pop lippy; so whatever shade I will be wearing on Prom night will no doubt be stashed away in my clutch.

Two- Camera. I am a total snap-happy photographer, and so will be sure to have my camera already to whip out and capture memories!

Three- Perfume sample/ mini. To freshen up my scent throughout the night.

Four- Bobby Pins. In  case of emergency; you'll never know when you need to clip up that loose curl!

Five- Chewing gum/ mints. To keep the canape breath and bay.

What will be stashed away in your stylish prom clutch? Have you found one yet?

Friday Favourites...

Happy Friday everyone!
After a busy week of filming and portfolio-ing for my Media Studies coursework, I am finally proud to announce the end of the week; bring on the weekend!
As usual, here is just a glimpse at what I've been adoring this week...

Room decor- How adorable are these origami birds? Super tempted to make these myself!

GunMetal

wow.
I didn't have great expectations for this product; MUA to me, wasn't a regular brand I used, and for the insane price of £1.50, I didn't think this product would blow me away as much as it did.
But thank god it did!
With the angle shaped pencil, this product glides on superbly, creating the perfect winged look, or just for the waterline alone.
I love the shade- it doesn;' look as harsh as a bold black, but doesn't clash with different colour eyeshadows.
Overall, I rate this product 150 out of 100, and recommend to anyone in search of a longlasting, stunning eyeliner at a budget price.

Look what I found on my doorstep this morning...

U ROK powder purple

A beautiful powdery purple/ striking blue shade, this polish is my favourite colour of the moment.
With a slightly icy feel to it, this polish will be perfect for the change from spring to summer!
The brush applicator is easy to use, allowing the product to flow on quickly and easily. I also love the love hearts themed packaging- super adorable!
No doubt I shall be sporting this shade all week.

What is your favourite MUA polish colour?

A day in the life...

Hey dolls :)
Just got back from a quick meet up with one of my close friends, Izzie.
Our original plan was just to meet for a mocha and catch up, but quickly spiralled on to me hoarding books and swamping the MUA stand in superdug, but hey, whatcha gonna do?

My fail at trying Barry M's crocodile effect polish- probably wont be buying that anytime soon :S

My octopus has a moustache...

Friday Favourites

Hey dolls :)
So I've been all over the place recently; with my exams drawing near, and coursework deadlines soon to be; I have been rushing about like a lunatic, hoarding folders and files of useless physics information in which I will forget about in a few years to come.
I also launched my new baking blog this week :) It is a joint blog with my younger sister, as we both share a love for baking and cupcakes! You'll be seeing recipes and weekly recommendations and reviews from the wonderful world of food. Check it out---
millymaebaking.blogspot.com

This week has flown by, giving me not much time to think of my weekend wishlist or friday favourites, so bare with me!!

This week I have been loving...

Cute stationary. A random thing to be raving about on a beauty blog, I agree, but after finding these adorable rubbers in my secret stash of crap, I fell in love!

Orange Circle T-shirts. After being introduced through a lovely youtuber, I have been scanning their site frantically this past week. I am super excited to order one; I love the deathly hallows!

Lastly, I have been adoring... tea. Yes, that's right; I've been totally obsessed with cups of tea this week. Being a coffee person, the thought of a nice cuppa with a digestive hadn't really crossed my mind, but it's one cup after the other with me!!

What have you been obsessing over this past week?

BubbleGum Kisses

Leaving your lips soft and refreshed, this product from LUSH is perfect for the last of the cold days.
Made from pure sugar, not only does this bubblegum lip scrub keep your lips smooth and crack-free, but tastes divine too!
After purchasing the bubblegum flavour, and loving it; I'm super tempted to try the other flavours!

What's your favourite lip scrub flavour?

Starry Lights

Starry Lights is a somewhat skinny cream latte inspired shade, connoting bare yet delicious. I use this as a highlight for under my brows, or an all over lid colour. Nude is the new smokey, in my opinion!
With a slight lemony hint, this will be perfect for the upcoming pastel fad this spring/ summer 2012.
Exciting much?!
This product applies so well, using a small eyeshadow brush, or even a smudge, it glides on nicely, blending well with your natural skin colour.

I use this mostly to help awaken my tired eyes (half 6 for lessons is always a drawback to education...) in the morning.

What do you think of No7 eye shadows? What's your favourite shade? Any nude shadows I should check out?

Weekend Wishlist 5

I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs- to me, he's such an inspiration, so when I spotted this cute and kitsch jumble letter necklace, I fell in love! The heart in the 'A' makes it all the more quirky! A definate splurge for the summer...
I have never tried an essie polish before, but am really tempted. The only thing holdiong me back is the cost- a little pricey for a small pot of varnish :S
This sleek and stylish watch from asos.com is perfect for the upcoming ice-cream pastel fad this spring- affordable too!
This casual matrix-esque tee is perfect for those lazy sundays, or even for a summer festival- T4 on the beach anyone?
I love anything with skulls on, so when I found this hidden treasure in H&M I couldn't help but fall a little further for their fun and creative vest tops. The summer feel to it makes it all the better!
Dollybowbow is great for one off cute and quirky pieces, and this bicycle necklace proves just how kitsch it is!
I've wanted a denim skirt and rayban style sunnies for a while, maybe this summer I'll crack?
Finally, Gosh's lets twist eye liner in black would be great for a little eye definition this season.
What do you think? What's on your weekend wishlist?

Friday Favourites

Hey dolls :)
5 days is a pretty long time for me to have gone with out posting here, so I apologise for lack of action! Just sat my non-calculator maths exam, and god was it a harden. So much in fact that it may just be the most difficult exam I have ever sat. You see, me and mathematics don't exactly see somewhat, 'eye to eye'.
However, I'm back again with this weeks Friday Favourites, and this weeks is a gooden!

This week, I've been adoring...

Kylie Jenner's hair. So much so, I have decided to die it very dark brown, and grow out my fringe and layers. Dramatic,;I know, obsessive; I guess, crazy; who cares!

Cute phone cases. This past week I've been craving a white iPhone 4s, but am not brave enough to splurge. However that doesn't stop me hunting down cute and kawaii cases in my lunch hour...

Being a proud vegetarian (7 years and counting!), I sometimes struggle to find healthy meals in which I'll eat happily. That is, until I stumbled upon Innocent's veg pots...

I'm not normally a 'mainstream' music kind of person (I love me a bit of indie... The wombats, Young the giant and The hurts being just a few of my favourites), but this past week or so, I've been loving Gotye's 'somebody that I used to know'- I'm pretty sure you've all heard it, but if you haven't check it out a.s.a.p!

What's on your friday favourites list? Anything you've been loving this past week?
