Diary of two style-obsessed teenagers...

This weekend was mainly going to consist of movies, babysitting and coursework for me, when one of my lovely best friends -and lifesaver- Saskia (vintagenoirinspire.blogspot.com) invited me out for a quick coffee and chit chat at our local shopping mall.

Bow-obsessed?

This weekend I was feeling in the mood to get artsy with hairstyles; fishtails, beach waves or a braided updo? Oh no, not just any hairstylestyle...

Chanel...a girl can dream!

I've always wondered what it would be like to own a chanel bag. Striding down Oxford Street with my trusty 2.55 slung on my shoulder. Bliss!

However much I would love for this fantasy to become real, unfortunately I live the life (and the budget) of a female teenager. This, of course means I spend most of my time purchasing magazines and lipstick, and so nonetheless, not being able to afford a beautiful Chanel executive tote. Sad face, I know.

But a girl can desire, eh? Which is why, I decided to produce a post mainly focusing on my loves from the high-end designer, and what I can only dream of owning...

Friday Favourites

Hey dolls :)

Hope you've all had a constructive week, and are ready for a nice relaxing weekend ahead. As usual, here are a few of my favourites from this week...

Recently, I've been obsessed with The Wombats' album 'This Modern Glitch'. Super catchy, and my fave tunes are probably 1996 and Techno Fan...trust me, you'll enjoy it!!

Over the past few days, I've been drawn to anything with bows on; Hello Kitty for the win!

A good book whilst snuggling up with a coffee and chocolate biscuits are the ingredients for my perfect Friday weekend treat. Especially after a long, hard week of exam stress and revision!

Pretty Little Liars is by far my favourite T.V programme, and I'm sure many would agree with my fondness of Ezra :3

P.s. does anyone know where I can get my paws on one of these tees?!

Black-Pool-Pier-Meets-Milly's-Nails

So this weekend I took on a very hard decision...

Spring 'mint green' or Winter 'mushroom' nails?

After having pondered the benefits and drawbacks of each shade of nail polish, I came across an ingenious idea-

Why not combine both?

I began to comprehend a million and one different ways in which to do this, until I remembered that Summer was just around the corner (if you define a corner as a 4 month period ;S).

And what's better than a mint choc chip ice-cream whilst admiring the small, vintage stores on the beach front? I'll tell you...nothing.

So that, my dear bloggers, is how I came across the wonderful world of 'Mint Choc Chip Nail art' ;D

After finding out about the amazingly adorable 'Rilakkuma' through TheFashionTellersNotes blog, I have been obsessed! Amazon stock many items such as iPhone and iPad cases, to bags and stuffed toys featuring the cutie 'Rila' himself :)

I'm ever so tempted to purchase this sweet little tote bag, after having seen a similar one being modelled on weheartit.com...

To curl or not to curl...

So I have naturally quite small eyes, and my eyelashes as much as I hate to admit, are painfully straight. I've always relied on mascara to curl my lashes, but to my dismay, it never really works. I've only ever purchased eyelashes curlers once- and annoyingly I had to buy a really rubbish, no point in existing pair, which unfortunatly broke after a few days of owning them. Since that crazy ordeal, I've never had the courage to buy an expensive pair of curlers. Which is why I stuck to the cheap option in Superdrug recently....

At a pain-stakingly affordable price of £3.99, these QVS (available at Superdrug) curlers are perfect for those can't-be-bothered-yet-I-want-to-look-beautiful moments! After a quick shower, I tried these babies out on my inconveniently straight eyelashes. I have to admit, it took a few tries to get them exactly how I wanted, but with 40 seconds of lash curling, and 2 coats of mascara I was pretty much happy with the outcome.
So for those of you at a teen budget, and annoyingly rectilineal eyelashes- head to Superdrug!
