Whitney for Top Model!

After a quick black-out and a few glasses of water, I was able to contain my excitement.

What's this, you wonder?

Oh nothing, just Whitney Port becoming a judge on BINTM...

Wait, what?

If you're familiar with my blog, you'll know my *slightly crazed* obsession with Whitney Port. To me, she's just truly inspirational. After her debut role in 'The City' and the launching of her permanent line 'Whitney Eve' I was hooked. Her laid-back style oozed confidence, which in fact radiated onto me. I was suddenly obsessed with anything that resembled her.

When the news was revealed on her very own blog (http://www.whitneyport.com/) I was ecstatic.

As a fellow Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model lover, I was super excited to be seeing her every week on my TV screen. Port, I've missed you!

Not only was I glad for her television appearance, but the fact that I may actually be able to meet her just blew my mind.

Each year in the month of October, BINTM holds an event in which style-obsessed girls can pamper, primp and learn the basics of being a model. I have no particular ambition of being a model, however, I find the events fascinating and fun to roam around for hours.

VIP guests have the chance to meet the judges, and so with a bit of luck, I will meet her this year!

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Spring 2012

With the frosty plains of snow leaving us behind, and the sweet smell of spring filtering the air, I'm excitedly flicking through the latest magazines, in hope that I'll find my Spring '12 beauty.

Whether it be a daring, new leather satchel, or a pretty, pastel nail polish; I'm ready to find my go-to product/ garment for this season.

Supermarket Splash!

With the sublime snow suddenly coating our grassy plains, and the forecast for spring not looking particularly great, I wouldn't have survived these few cold months without my trusty sidekick. After the unvealing of nspa's new Jojoba and white musk hand and nail cream, I've become super obsessed, and haven't been able to leave the house without it.

For an incredibly cut-rate price of £1.50, it's no wonder they're flying off of Asda's bargain shelf!

For as long as I can remember I've suffered from dry, chapped, winter hands and so am forever trying new moisturisers and serums. This however, has been one of the very best.

If you can get your hands on this- I totally recommend!

A Splash of Innocence

With summer right in mind, and close at heart, I decided to scan through S/S'11 issues of my favourite magazines to help predict this summer's fashion forecast...

Best Kept Braid Secret...

I absolutely love boho inspired braids- their summer semblance leaves me craving the sunshine and seaside weather!

When I found out on http://www.thebeautydepartment.com/ how to re-create LC's beautiful braid, I was super excited to unveal the secret...

'In a regular braid there are 3 strands. For this look, all you do is braid one of those strands beforehand and loosen it up with your fingers, then braid as usual. This creates extra texture + breaks up the mundane pattern of a regular braid.'
